Today started early with a bus and ferry trip into Oban for some retail therapy. I mainly went along for the adventure and to access a ATM, as the one in Tobermory doesn't like me. Interesting morning running around getting things that aren't available on Mull (warning! Don't tell anyone you are going off island, whether it be to Oban or Glasgow etc as you will be sent long request list of things to bring back and shopping for others).
The crowds at the big grocery store (not that bad really) were chaotic after being on a small island for a month. I am growing used to the slower pace of the island and was physically and mentally relieved to set foot on Mull again and thrilled to arrive back in Tobermory.
Afternoon in the office and a brilliant evening watching the Da Vinci Code. Well, to be honest it mainly was just background noise as the evening was mainly spent drinking red wine, eating popcorn, talking, laughing, giggling hysterically and squealing when the cat brought in a half dead mouse, then back outside again to toy with it. Plus I got to experience my first Tobermory rainbow! The girls just shrugged their shoulders saying, oh, that happens a lot, which may be me one day (highly doubt it), but today it meant running up to my room to take some pictures. Lovely.
So all in all, it was a brilliant day!
