Brilliant Morning and Journey to Inverness

The sun rose over Mull this morning to another brilliant day. After another well rested night, I got ready for the day and headed down the hill to the office. I had to stop along the way though and admire the view of the harbor below, with the sun sparkling on the water. With a smile on my face and bounce in my step I continued on my way. Spent a few hours in the shop helping customers and at noon, Gemma and I got in the car for our journey to Inverness to represent HWDT on World Ocean Day and at the premiere of the documentary on overfishing, "The End of the Line". The drive along the coast overlooking the Sound of Mull was absolutely breathtaking and WOW is all I can say. We caught the ferry at Fishnish to Lochaline and for the next 4 hours we drove along the Great Glen Fault, through the towns of Fort William and up to Inverness. It was a gorgeous drive. Once we arrived in Inverness, we went and found our hostel and got the key to our room and then went for a quick exploration of the nearby city center so Gemma could plan tomorrow's shopping. We got back on the road to go to the cinema and with a small detour we arrived at the retail park. After a well controlled trip in a Tesco Extra, where I purchased a few items for baking yummy things, such as banana bread and chocolate Guinness cake, for the boat. Went into Borders bookstore and grabbed a drink at Starbucks and practiced what we were going to do at the presentation. We then headed over to the cinema and met up with a few people and went to the theatre and put some packets of leaflets on the seats for those who were coming to view the film. It was a decent turnout of about 30 or so and the film was really well done. Afterwards we had a Q&A and soon escaped to hunt down something to eat. The nearby options were Burger King and Pizza Hut. The Hut won, except as soon as we were seated we were told what they didn't have. After ordering twice of things which they ended up not having either, we ended up with a veg pizza with mushrooms, sweet corn, tomatoes and goat cheese, which was quite delicious.
The rest of the evening included driving back into town, figuring out the parking garage meter and settling in at the hostel for the night.
