If you want to know more about the HWDT and what Danielle does everyday, here is a short clip about the whales and dolphins of the Hebrides.
HWDT researches and aims to protect these animals for future generations. Why??? Because the Hebrides are a magical and special place. If interested in learning more, please go to http://www.hwdt.org/.
You can become a HWDT member and even sponsor a minke whale, killer whale/orca, or a bottlenose dolphin!!!!!
Also, HWDT is a non-profit charity and could really use your support. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Ooooh! You know, we're going to have to see if we'll be getting to Tobermory, especially if these guys are out there! Fun!
ReplyDeleteHey D & T!! Have a fantastic trip to Oban and Mull this weekend!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe bottlenose dolphins to occasionally come visit the Tobermory Harbour. Earlier this week about a dozen were seen just around the "corner" in the bay in front of Kilchoan, Ardnamurchan. A boat trip from Tobermory this time of year can mean harbour porpoise, seals, minke whales, common and bottlenose dolphins, basking sharks and plenty of spectacular seabirds. It's an amazing place!!!!
We did catch a glimpse of a seal ... but it was too far out to photograph with any degree of detail. SIGH. Sea eagles, too, though we didn't catch them on film.
ReplyDeleteIt is great to be able to catch things on camera, but I have learned just to enjoy the moment, otherwise I would be taking pictures every second....i am trying to blend in...locals are snapping pictures :) Yesterday the otter gave a fantastic performance in the harbour and I would have missed it if I ran back to the shop for my camera!
