BE PREPARED.
Just because the spot you decide to pitch your tent has the most fabulous view imaginable, does not mean its a good spot to be.
A mountain view (no trees) and spot near a small stream can seem idyllic, but that can quickly change.
High winds and pelting rain, Scottish-style with raging white water river near by.
I can always abandon the tent and make a run for the car. The trunk is quite spacious, may sleep there (its a hatch back with fold down rear seats).
I am loving every minute of this adventure.
