Tonight I saw my first breaching Orca and I was lucky to capture this image (at quite a distance) before the Orca rounded York Point as twilight set in.

oh you had to be out of your mind with excitement!!!! my first encounter with orcas was in a kayak - i was surrounded by two pods during my first hour of learning to kayak. that was over 20 years ago and my heart still beats faster when i think of the experience.
