A Day of Research on Loch Etive

Today's Must have item: Steel Toe-Capped Wellies (every girl's dream!)
View from upper Loch Etive, towards Glen Etive
Sailing under the Connel Bridge during slack tide
View towards Connel Bridge, Loch Etive, and Ben Cruachan, as sailing away from Dunstaffnage

Today I was aboard a research vessel conducting "science", otherwise known as playing with water samples, mud/sediments and creatures from the deep (aka worms and brittle stars).
Very pleasant morning sunshine, especially considering the forecast called for snow!

  2. Love the Connel Bridge. Have only ever seen it from the train, but ... it's a neat one. :)

  3. You can see Connel Bridge from the train? Well, I have tended to travel on the train to Oban in the evening, so haven't seen it.

  5. It was a good day. Today was spent in the lab with microscopes and plankton. Get to go on a smaller boat later this week and do some trawling. Hope to see some interesting creatures, other than brittle stars (very small). Maybe even some scallops for supper :)
